Press-On Nail Application & Removal Guide

Follow these simple steps to properly apply and safely remove your YIMEIYOU press-on nails.

Application Guide

Step 1: Prepare Your Natural Nails

  • Wash and dry your hands thoroughly.
  • Remove any nail polish and oil from your natural nails.
  • Gently push back your cuticles.
  • Lightly buff the surface of your natural nails to remove excess shine.
  • Clean your nails with an alcohol wipe and allow them to dry completely.

Step 2: Choose the Correct Nail Size

Before applying, match each press-on nail to your natural nail.

The press-on nail should fit from sidewall to sidewall without touching your skin.

If the nail is slightly too large, gently file the edges for a better fit.

Step 3: Apply Nail Glue or Adhesive Tabs

Apply a small amount of nail glue to your natural nail and/or the inside of the press-on nail.

If using adhesive tabs, choose the appropriate size and press the tab firmly onto your natural nail.

Do not use too much glue.

Step 4: Apply the Press-On Nail

Align the press-on nail near your cuticle first, then gently press it down toward the tip of your nail.

Hold firmly for approximately 10–15 seconds.

Make sure there are no visible gaps or air bubbles.

Step 5: Allow the Nails to Set

Avoid water, excessive moisture, and heavy pressure for at least 1 hour after application.

For the best results, allow the nails to fully set before activities that may put stress on the nails.

Removal Guide

Step 1: Soak Your Nails

Soak your fingertips in warm, soapy water for 10–15 minutes to help soften the adhesive.

Step 2: Apply Cuticle Oil

Apply cuticle oil around the edges of each press-on nail.

Gently massage the oil around the nail and allow it to penetrate the adhesive.

Step 3: Gently Loosen the Nail

Starting from the sides of the nail, gently loosen the press-on nail using a wooden cuticle stick.

If the nail does not come off easily, soak your nails for a few more minutes and try again.

Never force, pull, or pry the nail off.

Step 4: Remove Any Remaining Adhesive

After removing the press-on nail, gently buff away any remaining adhesive or use a nail-safe adhesive remover.

Avoid aggressively scraping or filing your natural nails.

Step 5: Care for Your Natural Nails

Wash and dry your hands, then apply cuticle oil or hand cream to moisturize your nails and cuticles.

Proper nail preparation, correct sizing, and careful application and removal are important for protecting your natural nails.
